Starbucks man!

hey have so much to explain! its best that i just copy an email that i sent to my bes friend Kati...i don't have time to explain.

So here's what I said.

Hey Kati!

How are you sugar? Hope everything is going well with you and the situation at the library. Sorry I didn't call back been dead busy, but I will call you in the next couple of days.

Remember that guy in Starbuck who worked on the Royal Mile branch? well..... I've been doing a bit of spying/ research/ stalking whatever you want to call it! *lol*

I went to the Starbucks on Castle Street near Prêt and asked on of the workers if somebody new had joined their team. said a little like this:

Hey has somebody new joined here? Someone who used to work on the Royal Mile? a guy with an Australian accent?

Yes I did that! *lol* all on my own last week. Ha ha!

The reply:

Yeah Ben.... he's the new Manager here.

Ben, eh? Good, got his name! woo hoo!

So I had to make it look like I knew him!

Great, its just that I used to have my coffee made by him when i live on the Royal Mile... He makes a great espresso!

So I got my order and left. That was last Wednesday.

I went back the next day and asked another guy if Ben was working that day. I was told he would not be working until Saturday.

I was gonna go back on saturday but i didn't bother.... I was out looking at specs with David and trailing through town in the pissing rain.

Went to the gym on Sunday.... guess who I bumped in to at the foot of Leith Walk, as I was going back home? BEN!!!! la la la! there's me in my ratty jeans and 3 sizes to big Gap Hoody! ha ha! he's seen me with a hang over, so I guess it wasn't so bad. As usual we didn't stop and talk, we just said hi, he was heading towards a bus stop. But I turned to look back.... he did the same..... walked a bit further.... he was waving at me from the bus stop. *sigh*

I made the decision that I was going to the Blue Starbuck the next day. I just hoped that he was working in the morning.

So went there, all dressed up, immaculate make up, perfect hair and sunglasses. Walked in. He was there.

Oh hey, fancy bumping in to you again!

I had to say something! and that was a start.

So we got talking a made my Raspberry frap. I love his smile by the way as well as his accent! *swoon* Found out that he's been working there for a month. WHERE THE HELL HAVE I BEEN! I told him that i worked a block away practically next to The Standing Order.

So his colleague puts my order at the the end of the bar, Ben's walking toward me on the other side...... OK here's my chance...... I'm gonna ask him out....

I wondering when's your lunch break? we could meet up for lunch and kind of catch up......

I told him that I always have lunch from 12 until 1.

Hmmm..... i don't know if I can manage that, how about we meet up for a drink or something?

Sounded great. So i agreed that we should and that I would obviously be back in. Then I left.

It suddenly just hit me... ASKED ME OUT!!!!! so I walk in to work with a huge big grin on my face. I explain what happened to Lynne. It suddenly dawned on me that I didn't have his number and he didn't have mine! Oh no!

Maybe I should go back at lunch time and get another coffee and a Paninni? I decided not to, it would look like a total stalker! *LOL*

I was a very happy girl for the rest of the day and Richard kept teasing me about it. It went really quickly maybe because i was really happy and really excited.

I finished work just after 5:30 that day and had a stack of mail to post. I was running down the stairs, i had to be at the gym for my Boxersise class, open the door, someone was standing at the bottom of the stairs, turns round..... you guessed it! it was Ben. He remembered what time I finished which I thought was very nice.

He had to go to a Starbucks meeting that night and like I said I had to go to my Boxersise class. We walked down George street then he asked me my name. heh heh! he said that he would walk me to the post office... very sweet.

So we walked about for 10 minutes and finally exchanged phone numbers so we could meet up. He had to go to Blackpool for a huge big Starbucks get together. Sounds like fun! heh heh! He's not going to be back until tomorrow, but we've texting each other since. And guess what? He lives 5 minutes away from me!!!!

Perfect.

So that's that, and I hope it goes really well when we finally go out. I'm really looking forward to it and i'm really really nervous, to the point that i stumble across words and turn in to this giggling little girl!

I hope you don't mind me send you this big long e-mail about it, but I thought that you would like to know as you know how much I really like him.
